It was late fall 2014 when Taco John’s approached me for a bid on painting the whole exterior of the restaurant located at 4401 1st Ave SE.
It was soon after they accepted my bid and wanted the job done. The three surfaces were stucco, metal and concrete.
The biggest problem with the stucco is that it had faded through time. A fresh new coat of paint made a difference.
The metal soffit had flaking paint as well as a fading problem.
The rough areas had to be scraped, wire brushed and primed.
Both the concrete and the metal soffit had faded on the west side, just as bad as everywhere else.
After the fresh new coat of paint was applied it looked brand new.
The drive through side was challenging. The owners did not want to close the restaurant down.
We had to manage the timing correctly on this side.
The restaurant was completed just in time before the weather turned for the worse. Now it looks like a brand new building.
